Come Work With Us
At Borealis Breads, we believe good bread starts with good people. We’re a Maine bakery built around the idea that great food should be made with care, quality ingredients, and pride in the work behind it. Every loaf we make represents the people who mix, shape, bake, pack, deliver, sell, and support our products every day.
Employee-Owned
Since 2022, Borealis Breads has been an employee-owned company. That means the people who come to work every day and help make Borealis successful have the opportunity to share in the company’s ownership and its future.
Employee ownership is about more than having a stake in the business. It’s about building a workplace where everyone’s contribution matters and where we can work together toward the long-term success of Borealis.
Borealis is part of a growing network of employee-owned small businesses through Teamshares Inc. This allows us to maintain the character and identity of a local small business while being connected to a larger community of companies committed to creating opportunities for employee ownership.
More Than a Bakery
Working at Borealis means being part of a team that makes something real. Whether you’re working in the bakery, helping get our products where they need to go, serving customers, or supporting the business behind the scenes, every role contributes to what we do.
We value people who show up, work hard, help their teammates, and care about doing things well. Experience is valuable, but so are reliability, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.
Grow With Us
We want Borealis to be a place where people can learn new skills, take on more responsibility, and build a future. As our company grows, we want the people who help us grow to have opportunities to grow with us.
Benefits & Perks
Our benefits and perks include health, dental, and vision coverage; paid time off; paid holidays including Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Labor Day; a 401(k) plan; flexible schedules; one free loaf of bread per shift; and a 20% employee discount.
If you like working with good people, taking pride in what you accomplish, and being part of an employee-owned Maine company that cares about the food it makes, we’d like to hear from you.
